Hey that's really very true, isn't it? If only more people would subscribe to that belief.

Maybe it's a Markism. haha! :D

Shit. You're fast. :)

For as long as there are naive and narrow-minded people, there will always be religious wars, discrimination, bickering, etc. It's a fact of life and we probably just have to learn to live with it. I suppose we could go by the Taoist (or is that the Buddist) belief that says if you accept something, you begin to live in harmony with it.

I could have just made that up. I'm not sure. But you get the point! Haha.

It's all a matter of choice, isn't it? Truth is, I can't see why there should be a "religious war" between the two camps. Why should there even be two camps??

Alas, we live in such a world. Hopefully in Davao, while it has already started, this war, we can nip it in the bud.

To be fair though, there are also people from the closed-source camp who are just as rabid as the zealots of the open-source group. I know. I used to be one of them! :-)

There will always be people like that whether in the closed or open group. It can be good sometimes because it pushes both sides to out-innovate the other. But, I agree that it can get overboard and annoying at other times. I find those that fight these religious wars to be childish.

As for me, while I've made the switch to open source. I still use and appreciate the tools that closed-source companies provide. It's all about the relevant benefits that the tool provides and not only whether its open or closed. Focusing on the latter is limiting one's view of the whole picture.
