I was delighted when I found out that this blog was given the #1 spot by Ratified.org in its daily assessment of blogs in the Philippine blogosphere. This top position means that IT talks! garnered the highest positive change in rank.
Yesterday, my blog stood at the 387th place among all Ratified blogs in the Philippines. Today, it’s at the 113th place. Wow! A jump of 274 points! Google PageRank for IT talks! is also now at PR4 (but, yeah, it’s just a number…).
Ratified.org is a Davao-made online service created by Andrew dela Serna. It serves to rank blogs’ popularity (in terms of traffic), among other things. If you’re blog’s not Ratified yet… what’re you waiting for?
For Australian blogs, there’s http://australia.ratified.org. I’m currently talking to Andrew about Ratified Japan… but that might take some time.
Getting recognition like this is inspiring. Aside from providing bloggers with hard numbers to crunch (especially for those who love statistics, like me), from time to time, Ratified.org gives bloggers that much-needed nudge forward.
This is my 100th post, by the way. It took awhile, considering this blog has been alive since 2004! Although, much of the earlier content has been lost to blog heaven, that’s why I started counting only from 2007.
Rest assured I will be writing more frequently and constantly, especially since I’m now the “ICT Hub” section head of the new business paper in town, The Edge Davao.
